Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoe

Thirty years ago, we ran an ad that said, "The first boat shoe designed to perform as well on land as it does at sea." In the three decades since then, a lot's changed. But one thing hasn't: we still make our boat shoes the same way—by hand, one pair at a time. They feature 360° lacing—where the lace wraps around the back of the heel for a custom fit—and a siped sole that grips wet boat decks. And for land, they have a new comfort construction with an extra layer of Poron® foam under the forefoot.

That's why we made the Formentor with a 100% waterproof/breathable fabric and sealed every seam to ensure that not a drop will get in. The hood stows away when you don't need it, so it won't be flapping in the wind. And by using S.Café polyester made from recycled PET—we kept plastic bottles out of landfills and out of the ocean.

We've never thought that bad weather is an excuse to stay inside. Yet we've always dreaded the thought of carrying heavy raingear that we may not even use. So we made this: an ultra-lightweight, incredibly compressible jacket that's 100% waterproof—and has zip-off sleeves. It's even made with S.Café fabric that's 98% recycled plastic bottles and 2% coffee grounds—so it's lighter on the planet, too.

Stylish trail pants? Anyone who knows gear will tell you that there's always a compromise between breathability and waterproofness—and that you can forget about style if you need protection. Generally, the more it seals out water, the less it breathes, the more it looks like it belongs on the trail and not out on the town. But these pants dial it in just right, thanks to Epic fabric by Nextec^® that sheds water and dirt without anything to inhibit the breathability. The technology is built into the fibers at a molecular level so it never wears off—and invisible technology makes for some great looking pants.

The great thing about being gear designers is that we can make the stuff we want for ourselves. This daypack has all the things we wanted, and none of the things we didn't. It's hydration bladder compatible, water resistant, reflective and has trekking pole loops—all while keeping it green (55% recycled nylon) and sized just right for a day on the trail.
