Set up on a hill overlooking downtown Manhattan, just across the East River, Brooklyn Heights is one of NYC’s most charming areas. This neighborhood features lots of amazing architecture, from large townhouses to unique carriage homes.
A recent addition to Brooklyn, this beautiful 85-acre park sits alongside the East River, spanning 1.3 miles from the Brooklyn Bridge all the way South to Atlantic Avenue.
At the southern end of the Brooklyn Bridge Park, jutting out into the East River, sits Pier 5. This former shipping pier features three brand-new sports fields, with a marina and boathouse soon to follow.
My favorite neighborhood in New York, and where I call home. There’s more sunlight, parks and trees, less buses and taxis. Court and Smith Streets have every kind of restaurant and shop you could ever want.
